Glover to join Ontario Municipal Cultural Planning Institute board.
The mission of the Municipal Cultural Planning Institute (MCPI), a not for profit organization, is to support muncipalities in developing a stronger economic base by integrating planning into municipal decision making. Its members include elected officials, representatives of the provincial Ministry of Tourism and Culture, and people employed in the culture sector. It was originally established as the Municipal Cultural Planning Partnership. It was incorporated last year as the MCPI. I have been attending its meetings or participating in teleconference calls for three or four years. I am pleased to report that I have recently been invited to join the board. Going forward I will use my web site to report on this work as well, for it is closely associated to my related council activity.
